Taaniko
Taaniko is a traditional Maori handcraft that uses a sequence of knots to create beautiful geometric patterns that tell stories and reflect ideas.
Traditionally flax would be scraped to form muka, which would then be dyed with natural pigments and then rolled to make the threads.
This incredibly complex and skilled craft is our inspiration for this design.
The story of our design is a combination of ideas that represent growth, connections and family.
